what year grizzly to buy
#5
I've got an 02, and so does a friend of mine. They're both still going strong. (had to replace the bearings on mine this last month, but that's because we do a lot of riding in the creek and river... so a lot of sand gets in there. ) I've also had to have the valves adjusted last winter, just so it would start and run a lil smoother.

It was the '03 year that had the chronic CV joint problem. The '02, '04, '05 and '06 are OK in that department. The '02 had a recall that called for installation of a "heat fighter kit" which amounted to the vented side panels from an '04 model, and some heat shielding material under the gas tank...

I have 2 of the 2006 grizzly's both the 660 and we have taken them from Florida to Utah and never had a problem from sea level to 12,000 ft they run great. The wife has rolled her 2 times and nothing happen to the bike. The bikes are tough but the only thing I can say bad about them is the fuel. They love fuel if you ride them hard they will want to be feed. I have jumped mine on some table top jumps and it handles great for a huge bike. I think a used 660 would be the way to go just make sure the owner has taken care of it oil changes and air cleaner if you know what I mean.
