Default Help!! Looking for Kids Quad. Suggestions?

I need help. I am looking to purchase a quad for my children. They are boys 5 & 8. I posted something about a Yamaha and got replies that I should buy something other than Yamaha. What do you guys recommend? and why?

I don't want something they will out grow in 2 years, yet something that is not to big.

For sand, right? If you can turn a wrench, I'd look at the DRR DRX 90. It runs good and has a much wider stance than most minis. It's the best bang for the buck imo. If not, the Honda TRX is the way to go, very reliable. A used pred 90 2-stroke would also do well in sand.

The Yamaha has a solid front axle which leads to bump steer. It's a very strong design but you sacrifice handling. Frankly, I don't know what they were thinking.

Looks like DRX only makes 2 strokes. We would like a 4 stroke. I guess I forgot to mention that.

What's wrong with 2 stroke's? You may want to check out the Honda TRX 90.

The TRX 90 is a dog...I would look at the polaris 90, my son 5yr old rides one and he can pull wheelies, dougnut, and power slide. It has good toque and power and its a very reliable 2-stroke. I have never fouled a plug and its oil injected(no mixing). We had a LT80 and it sucked,no power unless you want to put tons of money into it. My buddies kid has a honda TRX 90 and my smokes him. So now he is in the market for a polaris. And you really want a 2-stroke if you play in the sand.

I guess he needs to clarify what he needs it for. TRX is a great dependable ride, but if you want raunchy performance you may want to look elsewhere.

I only suggested the TRX90 because he said he want's A 4 stroke. My grandson's Polaris 90 Predator ROCK'S. But it's A 2 stroke and he doesen't seem to be interested in A 2 stroke.
