considering buying a new quad and am wondering which bike is faster up the sand race hill like sand mountain nevada. the yfz 450 or the fuel injected raptor 700? only care about completely stock bikes with no mods other than tires. thanks

 

IMO their about the same in stock form.......

 

IMHO I think that the 700 is about the same down low and once it get to about 45 the 700 is slightly faster

They are probably equal in the low end, but I would think the 700 has to be faster in the mid and top ends. If not, why even have a 700efi if it can't out run a 450?

 

(completely stock) according to yamaha, the 700 has a higher top speed.

I have both bikes and stock the 700 kicks butt. I love the 450 and off the line if you slip the clutch they are running the same till 3rd gear and then it is all over. The 450 now has mods and the raptor and the 450 gets it off the line but on top end with mods the raptor still rules. The mods were both the same EFI on one Jet kit on the other so that is what the bikes I own are doing can't say about the others as some bike run better then others stock for stock.

 

I never owned or rode a sport ATV,but wouldn't a 700 just kill a 450?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]
