The 450 are set up as race bikes and the raptor 700 is more of a trail bike that is why they are close to running the same. TLC is you ever get a chance to ride either bike do it the raptor is real nose lite [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] and likes to run on the read 2 wheels a lot. The 450 will stand up to but if you slip the clutch just a little like is stated before on take off she will bite a little better then the raptor. I slip the raptor clutch to but it still stands up real bad in the first 3 gears.

 

Not always, you gotta think a 700 weighs more plus its wider taller and longer.

Id say 700 after 3rd or 4th

 

You are exactly correct in saying the raptor likes running on the rear wheels alot!!! I rode a 660 raptor for about 10 minutes a couple of years ago and it scared the CR4P out of me!!! I gunned it and it stood straight up, but luckly the guy had a cooler rack on the back and it helped me not flip it totally over. I am a utility riding man and I though my kawie prairie700 and brute force 750 was fast, but that raptor is scarry fast. I also saw a 700 v-force do the same thing and they guy wanted me to ride it b/c he said the auto tranny tamed the power. I SAID "NO THANKS!!!"

 

700 v-force is a bad to the bond bike they love standing on 2 wheels for sure. I have a friend that rides one and he has no clue what the front tires are for [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

I think you need to cut and paste the correct statments. I never said anything about a 660 on this thread and what dose a z400 have to do with supersonictoys question??
Also the 450 has more weight in the front then the raptor if you do the math. The raptor is a heaver bike but most of the weight is in the rear as to the ratio of the 2 bikes. Geometries of the 2 bike are not quite the same for sure RACE low to the ground vs Trail or Baja Hummm I just got both bikes fixed that problem

Vulcan700, how does the raptor 700 do against the v force 700. I am looking at buying a raptor and my buddy has a v force, it does like to stand up alot.

 

He always back off when we race [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] I always get him off the line and when we get to about 50 he starts slowing down. I think he would do good but I have so many mods now I don't think it would be much of a race. They are sweet bikes and like i have said thousands of time all quads are cool it is just what people like that matters. Honda Yamaha Kawi they are all good bikes. I just like Yamaha had them for many years just like my Fords [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] had them for years to but I would not put any bike down because I did not like it that is just unfair. Sonic glad to see your still around here on the forums ...I would go with the 700 since I know you like to mod and stuff and if you ever wanted to you could slip a nice busa engine in one like you did the ds I would go with the 700 in my personal opinion more room and it will be more comfortable...I would have to think they would be even for racing but to think in the future I have heard the 700's don't respond to heavy modding well like the 660's did but not as bad unless you have everything perfect...either way you look at it though you have a good bike...vulcan hopefully the pics are posted after the moderator checks them

 

I just posted the 2 new bikes we got. The wolverine 450 with rims and tires also the new grizzly 700 all stock [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] mods on the raptor are coming along well should have the last parts in this week so I will post more on the web site after the work is done. Opps I forgot the warn winch is on the grizzly just waiting on the roller head so don't laught to hard when you see a rubber band holding the cable on the spool. DOH !!!!!
