Default TRX 350 2000...your thoughts

Hey guys,I`m a new to this world of ATV and would like your input on the ride I bought.
Here it is,my first ATV...a Honda TRX 350es 4x4 2000 with about 3000 miles on it.
I went with Honda for their reliability,of course, and their resale value.I also bought it used to make sure I will not lose too much money if I don`t love it as much as I think.(I only have done ATV once with friends and the family loved the day we had).
It is all equipped with rear seat, heated handles and thumb, front wind shield, front storage compartment winch (2000lbs).
The ATV is very clean with no major scratches or broken fenders.
I was wondering what to expect from this ATV.I`ll be doing mostly trails with my kids.Is the ESP reliable??? Is 3000 miles a lot for a Honda ATV???What will need to be changed in the near future???
This forum has been my first place to help me decide what brand to buy and what to check for...thanks for the help.

I have a 2000 350 ES and it has been one of the most reliable pieces of machinery I've ever owned. It has 6,550 miles, just under 1500 hours, and still runs like new. I had to replace the choke cable but other than that it's just been normal maintenance. I haven't had the 1st problem with the ESP. This things been beat to death and doesn't look the best but it's one tough machine.

Thank you, reliability is the main reason why I bought a Honda.
I`ve never driven semi automatic before. The guy that sold it to me told me to let go the throttle when changing gear.
It is the real way to change gears or can I keep the throttle "on" when changing gears???

In response to your question about , letting off the throtle between shifts, I dont know but it sure seems like good advise. I have an 01 rancher manual , and it seems to help a great deal letting off the throtle when shifting. However if I ride my 250r it kinds likes to be rode hard and fast.

First thing you want to get is a Warn 424, which will turn it into a selectable 2wd/4wd. Best mod you can make to this machine!

I have owned two of these, and they are great machines.......no problems at all. However, I think it is a mistake to load this machine down with a bunch of heavy stuff (skipped the heavy winches on mine), and therefore ruin its nimble handling.

Be advised that there is a recall underway on the angle sensor of the ES system. Check with a dealer to see if your machine is one of the effected ones..........

Thanks guys for your thoughts...again very helpful,
Just had my first ride yesterday and loved it.I got used to the ES very quickly and love the handling of the machine(in very muddy/watery condition)I had fun like a 5 years old in a water puddle.
