WHY DOES EVERY ONE THING THE PIECE OF JUNK POLARIS SCRAMBLERS CAN BEAT A 400EX!!!!! MY NEIGHBOR HAS A 2000 SCRAMBLER 400 2X4 WITH A PIPE(HE IS ALSO 25LBS LIGHTER THAN ME).I HAVE A 2000 STOCK 400EX AND I KICK HIS @$$ ON THE ROAD AND IN THE GRASS. ONE OF MY FRIENDS HAS A 2000 SCRAMBLER 500 STOCK AND I BEAT HIM EVEN WORSE.I CANT BELIEVE YOU THINK THEY WILL BEAT A 400EX!!!!

 

Well, lets start this out. You should learn how to spell, write in proper case, and phrase what you are trying to get out.

The scrambler 500 2x4 is a great 4-wheeler.

I've seen them stomp a 400ex in a drag race, and i've seen it the other way around. Tires, and the rider make a huge difference in a drag race.

Are you totally stock?

The EX tires stock are 100 times better for hook up than those titans on the 500.

My conclusion is, you need to stay awake during your english classes.

ex4life is right a 400ex can blow a scrambler away by a lot. the scrambler weighs about 100lbs more than a 400ex. The 400ex gets the power to the ground much better and will blow away a scrambler by at least a quad length every time.

 

This threads are always useless because some can't understand that there is no such thing as the unbeatable quad. It's always as if their quads are the supreme machine on Earth. What a presumption…
There are hundreds of situations where a Scrambler can beat a 400ex and vice versa.
Speaking of drag races, if you ask me, a Scrambler 400 2wd has a good chance of beating a 400ex. Stock by stock. I have ridden both. If not stock it depends on lots of things.

Hey 94DG, ex4life never said the scambler was a bad quad, therefore stating that it's a great quad makes it seem as if ex4life was attacking the scambler which he clearly wasn't...he was merely stating the facts. Also, who really cares what case he uses to type in...thats just pathetic!

 

Here is a fact. I don't know what the results are when you modify these bikes, but stock for stock, a 400ex WILL beat a Sport 400 or Scrambler 400 2wd in a drag race and for top speed. I would imagine It would beat the 4wd 400 even easier. I don't know about the 500's but I have heard a 400ex will beat one of those too. It is close though.

 

I havn't seen a scrambler that could beat me! Although to be very honest my freinds 400EX (stock) is not as fast as a 400 Scrambler, the Polaris had probably 5 mph more. The EX accelerates faster unquestionably but does not have the speed, put on a 16 tooth and it would kill it I bet, the Honda has more power but is geared lower, the scrambler weighs 100 pounds more and has 4 less horse but auto trannies are good for top speed. Lets not critisize, they both are good machines and we all should feel lucky to own ANY quad, it is a luxury.

 

the only way the peice of crap scambler will lose to the ex is if the person driving the ex doesnt have a leg to shift with!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
