Where is the best place to purchase a battery for my 2003 Sportman 700? I think the dealership is a little overpriced. Who makes a good battery?

 

I had tryed an Oddesey( may be spelled wrong), dry cell one time. I loved that battery. I bought the biggest one I could get without serious modifications. It was actually for a PWC, I had to mod the batt box slightly. It was like 275 CCA's or something. Batteries Plus is where I got it. Like $80. Great price for the performance!

 

I just went to my local gas station and ordered one. Interstates battery--about $75.00 and it fit right in the box. The only problem is getting the old one out. I had to dissassemble the entire rear plastic to get the battery box out so I could tip it over and beat the old battery out. Dirt and such had basically sealed the old one in. When you put the new battery in, do yourself a favor and loop a piece of wire under it and bend the ends down over the battery so you have a handle for the next time you need to change it.

 

I'm with Instigater on the Odyssey........A good friend of mine has it and says it's a great battery......
