Default preddy is wicked

a lot of people say the preddy is a tank and that its slow

It turns out its a pretty wicked quad actually, i thought it was a long stroke quad like the 400's but its actually a 60's MM stroke quad w/ around 99mm bore. You can also bore it out to 558cc. it has bigger shox travel than the 450r and maybe the yfz450, but im not sure about the yfz,

It seems like a wicked quad, now i have a question.

What do you think of this, a deal or what?

04 preddy 500
-no scratches
-showroom condition
-maxxis razr tires w/ only 10h on them
-stock FOX suspension

its only 5250cdn$$, CDN$$msrp is 8699+ 716$$ for maxxis razr tires

thats like 9415$$ for brand new- only tenpounds lighter and you get to keep the stock tires when you replace them with brand new razr tires

but 4165$$ cdn is saved, thats enough to bore it out to 558cc, pipe it, new shox, and lots of other stuff

Wouldnt that be sweet?

PS: are there any problems w/ 04 preddy's, i dont want to know personal experiences, i want to know about known issues of bad trannys or frames or whatelse. I know the seat pops off a lot on the 03's but my ds250 does that too, so im used to it.

PLZ tell me if it has bad things (dont count reverse as bad, i love reverse)

558cc motors nice, but the 574cc's are the ultimate, they are however, $7000 USD

i would stick to nicholas cycle motors, they really know what they're doing. a they're 520cc jug is $850.

the 04 sounds good. keep in mind that the 03's and 04's dont have reverse. and the 03's have a poor frame and gear case.

the predator has the longest shock travel for a SRA sport quad to date to update your knowlege base

theres a 574cc big bore kit for it? (106.4mm bore?) or is that a stroker kit? i will never increase the stroke of an engine as long as i live, i like quick revving engines. But why would i pay 850$ for 20cc, i would rather get a pipe. I saw the 558cc thing in a wiseco catalog thing.

Does wiseco bore out engines too?
They do offer top end gasket kits, pistons, overbore size pistons and stuff, bottom end gasket kits, replacement ring sets, and replacement pins and clips. I dont know what the heck these things are for. I have no experience in modding anything.

Too bad though that it doesnt have reverse but at least its lighter than my ds250 by 14lbs so it should be easier to get unstuck

by the way, the predator does not have the biggest shox out of all sport quads, (SRA means straight axle right?)
The preddy is tied for 2nd with the lt-r450 for shox and the ds650 is first with 12" on front and 11" on back, thats same as lt-r450 and the preddy on back shock but the front has 2 more inches. But still, the preddy DOES have awesome suspension (fox)
-The walker-evans shocks on the accesorize your atv section of the polaris webiste is nice, -well it has to be for $1300cdn

http://www.autotrader.ca/default.aspx

thats were i found the predator, just search for a polaris atv between 5000 and 5500 and between 2000 and 2006 and you should get it.
Im not sure if its really an 04, it has silver plastics w/ black seat and a lot of 04's that i saw had white plastic and a red seat
