I saw a post before on this subject.But does it really work cause im going to order one asap if its true.Just would suck to order a polaris predator gas cap and it not fit on my ds650.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] And does it matter what year they both are?My ds650x is an 2005.And the pred needs to be a certain year?

 

Boy talk about reruns, lol, yes the predator will fit your DS all years. The gas tanks are still the same from 2000 to 2007.

We have the chrome one on both of ours. Never had a problem.
He was just funnin with ya anyway.

 

For fun you could get the cap from the Polaris 250 Trailblazer that has the fuel gauge in it, since the DS' tank is vented from the tank and not the cap. It will fit on the DS, as I put the one from my wifes Trailblazer on my DS when I had the stock tank to see how much fuel I had for racing, before I got the IMS. When the gauge reads empty you are just about to have to turn on the reserve. It is not 100% due to the DS' long neck.

Why do you want to swap gas caps, are they lighter or cheaper than ds650 caps?

They mostly buy it for the bling factor. And the one from RM is the cheapest we have found. No other real reason.
