The Yuasa on my 04 DS650 BajaX is toast. I just ordered the Odyssey PC545. The next step is to purchase a battery charger/tender to keep a charge during the winter months when I fire up the Rotax every 2 - 3 weeks. I usually only fire it up between Dec - Mar to pull the kids around on their sled.

The PC545 is an AGM battery. I want to make sure I purchase the best charger/tender for an AGM battery. I never used a tender on the Yuasa.

The Supercharger Plus is endorsed by Odyssey. What about the YUA1201501? I would appreciate any comments from any forum member with experience regarding charging/tendering an AGM battery.

My normal battery charger has a 12volt 2 amp setting and seems to do just fine with my PC 545 and PC 545MJ that is in my Harley.

Second winter for both batteries with this charger, no issues.

 

Oz i have the same battery as you are getting.All i do in the winter is start it every couple of yrs.
I got it two yrs ago and not one problem yet.Good luck.

 

I keep a couple of these around ,and on the quads ( LT80, DS, Mojave) to keep the batteries charged there inexpensive and work.Text AUTOMATIC BATTERY FLOAT CHARGER

Well E bay isnt too bad, they have went up in price , they were $75.00 last year now they are $85.00 Text PC545 Battery
