2001 honda recon battery box torn away
I sure hope someone can help me- my daughter has a 2001 recon and her battery box broke away- the only thing left in its place are the two battery wires- ca someone please help me recreate what was in the battery box - was the some I n line fuse, a fuse box. I would be grateful for any assistance until I get this fixed she can't ride since she's not strong enough to pull start t.

There is the battery, an in line fuse, the solenoid and I think there is a connector for the rear light wire. If I get a chance I will have a look at the Manual today and check if there is a photo, I haven't got a 250 in at the moment. As well as the two main battery leads there will be the two thin leads for the solenoid, probably yellow/red and pale green/red and a thicker red wire from the regulator and ignition switch, this goes through the in-line fuse and on to the positive terminal of the battery or solenoid.

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, I forgot to check yesterday. As luck would have it a 250 came in today for repair, there seems to be rather more in the battery box than I thought, including a diode. This bike had been converted to be "road legal" for the UK so has a load of extra wires for parking lights, indicators etc. There is an unused socket which I think was for when it had the single rear lamp.
