Default White Brothers vs Supertrapp for '05 Scrambler 500

I am looking to buy a pipe for my '05 Scrambler 500. I think I have narrowed my selection down to a white brothers or a supertrapp.

Anyone have any recommendations on either of these systems? Why would you / why would you not buy one of these?

Supertrapp

White Brothers

What do you all think?

Also, with this pipe, and a K&N, which clutch mods would you suggest? A primary and secondary spring only? Or should I got with some new weights as well. Which springs would I benefit the most from?

Also please keep in mind I am riding around in Utah - usually 4500+ feet elevation.

Thanks in advance!

From the links you posted, the WB is a no brainer, $70 cheaper. I personally have the E-Series on my 500 Scrambler & really like it. The low-mid range torque is excellent. The pipe has a good sound also, lot overly loud but you know it's a big bore engine. As far a a clutch kit goes, & have a full Hot-Seat setup & it works great.

Price not being an issue, would you still go with the WB? I am willing to buy the best available exhaust for the bike. If that includes header back - so be it (Ive only found one header back system for the scrambler but dont really care for the design of the muffler).

Well I did some more digging, and discovered an exhaust system I didn't even know was made for the scramblers. Pro-Circuit makes a pipe and silencer for the scramblers Part number 4QP-04500 for the 03-05 - picked it up from www.starcycle.com for 457.95 shipped. (Part number is 4QP96500 for the 96-03 500s FYI)

Cant wait!

Now I just gotta order some clutch springs (any recomendations?). Hopefully this will wake the bike up a bit.

The Pro Circut is a decent system but is very loud.I would have went with either WB or the Aaen megaphone with spark arrestor and in stainless steel. But you did ok.
Clutching on the 500s is a personal thing and if you let me know what you eant out of the bike and how you ride I can give you some good input on what works and what dont.
PS I really would have went with a TEAM roller secondary before a pipe. There is more power hiden in the clutch system than you get from any other mod.
Drop me a pm on the clutching. Brad

Thanks Brad,

I actually just hit Rick Ritter up about a new clutching setup - he sold me on the HPD Roller conversion and a clutch kit. Rick said he recommended the roller conversion over the TEAM roller (what do you think, as you have a TEAM roller?) - hopefully everything works out and I wake this bike up a bit!
