i have a 97 honda trx 300 ex i had it for a year.
about two weeksago it was riding fine.
the other day i took it out to clean it first thing i do is start it.
when i put in the key put it in to netural but the reverse light came on.
i know its not the batt or the plugs i changed them before riding.
the starter doesnt even turn and their no sound from the buzzer,or starter.
has anyone have this happen to them

 

So when you put it in netural the reverse light stays on? If so your indicator switch may be stuck or wires may be shorted.

 

Is the ground connected tightly to the frame and is everything else connected correctly...I would double check to make sure everything is correct and tightly connected.

 

theirs one detail i forgot to put in.
right before puting it away it was running a the same rpm range as it would in reverse.

also i need to know were the indicator switch is so i can take a look at it.
i'll check the grounds and other connections today.

 

thank for the help i found the problem.
for anyone that gets or has this problem there is two wires covered by a metal plate.
its one the side the rear brake pedel is push the wire in and problem sloved.
