Well i am a kawi man at heart but I just cant wait any longer for the 450. So i found an 03 pred like brand new so i jumped on it and i am picking it up tomorrow....i just wanted to know how it will run against that 400s,450s and raptors...and also what about any problems with it?

The Pred is an awesome quad, but I've heard that the 03's had some transmission problems. As far as comparing them to the 450's and raptors, It holds it's own fairly well. The only 450 I've raced was a YFZ; I beat him, but he was a beginner rider, so it probably would have been a closer race had he been more experienced. I've raced a 660 raptor and beat him, but I haven't had a chance to race a 700 yet. If you want more info on the pred go here: www.predatorowners.com

 

i have a '03 i ride with 4 different 450r's and a 2 z400's flat wax the z's the 450's can give me a run in a short distance but i blow by them at the top end

 

the 03's have a weak transmission and a weak frame. they also lack reverse but have a considerably longer swing arm then its younger brethren. make sure you check your frame for cracks, and if neccisary buy a Gusset kit and have the frame gusseted.
