what is the best head pipe for a yamaha blaster
#2
I had great success with an FMF Gold Series Fatty and the Power Core ll silencer on my 98 blaster. Great sounding, pulled the front end up through third gear, no problems mechanicly. Five minutes to install. Looks really cool too!
Everyone has their opinion, but based on my experience, the fmf is a quality unit that made a huge difference in performance.

Don't get DG, most people here will tell you that, it's true. FMF makes a good pipe and silencer, nothing outstanding, but a significant increase in power that's smooth. And there fit and wear is typically good. CT, LRD, and Trinity all make excellent performance pipes, more HP but over a smaller RPM range, with slightly more initial hit. I've had and heard of some minor problems with fit, nothing major though. From Dyno readings I've seen, Trinity makes an awesome hi-rev pipe for the blaster, you propably DON'T want that one. Hope this helped your decision kinda. This is just my experience on peoples bikes I've worked on and ridden.
Remember, many manufacturers make several pipes for mid or hi revs, get one that suits you, likely mid range. Take time and talk to someone at the buisness, someone who actually knows about the pipe, not the salesman. Trinity, LRD, and CT all have lots of knowledable staff to talk to.
