Default 450er 2006 recall

If you remove the 3 screws and the cap from the throttle housing, you will see the two throttle arms, cable and return spring. There are two arms in there, the main one which attaches to the throttle cable and the lower one which is directly connected to the thumb lever. When you push on the thumb lever, the lower arm pushes on the upper arm which in turn pulls the cable. If the cable sticks and you release the lever the throttle position sensor on the carb will stay open, the lower arm will close the switch inside the housing and kills the ignition.

The recall is to replace the lower arm which can wear prematurely and fail.
