Raptor clutch question
#1
I have an '02 Raptor and have been riding pretty much exclusively at Glamis for the last few years. Almost exactly a year ago, I had a problem with the stock clutch where the nut that holds the clutch boss on came loose. After tearing it apart and finding it - decided to go ahead and replace the clutch with the EBC clutch (the plates were looking worn). This past Saturday while out at China Wall - the clutch broke - although I haven't torn it apart yet - it sounds exactly like what happen previously. Up in till this past weekend - it had been working flawlessly. I wondering if any other Raptor owners have had similar problems and if this is an indication of something else that could be happening. One other note: I typically only use the clutch when starting out or stopping.
One other quick question - my Raptor will start in any gear with the clutch lever pulled in, however, my wife's Raptor will only start in neutral. I have removed the parking brake on both ... any ideas on what might be different?
Thx

Sounds like your wifes raptor still has the clutch safety switch in it and yours don't. I took mine out when I took the park brake off and it will now start in any gear even without pulling the clutch. Can't help you with the clutch, havn't had that problem yet.
