Default rappy 700

im 5'6" female.. is this bike going to be to much for me to handle? i have a wolverine 350 now but i want to keep up with my friends on their 400's and 450's on trails and a lil mud. ive narrowed it down to either the z400 or the rappy. i like the rappy better but i dont want something thats gonna overpower me. thanks

I have lots of buddies that have the z400 and it's a good machine. I would choose the Raptor over the Suzuki but I guess it just depends on your experience and comfort level. If you was to get the 700 and feel like it was too much power you could always turn the throttle screw in until you feel comfortable with it.

The Raptor 700 is very easy to drive, probably a little easier than the Z-400 actually due to it's fat powerband. The Raptor pulls strong (but not overpowering) from the bottom of the rev range and doesn't feel "peaky" at all. In comparison you can feel more of a surge when riding the "Z". The Raptor keeps it's front end planted better too (or the Z-400 wheelies easier, depending on your point of view).

The Raptor's stock gearing is a little taller than the Z-400 so if you ride a lot of tight trails you might want to consider gearing it down (put a smaller sprocket on the front). The Z actually feels faster because of the mid range surge and its higher revving engine however the Raptor will accelerate quicker as long as you execute your shifts properly (shift early, don't over-rev the engine). I'm sure you would be happy with either machine, the dimensions are very similar so they feel about the same...
