450er 2006 Hr kit VS exhuast kit
#1
I was wondering should i spend my money on a Hrc kit or A new exhuast kit, jet kit, and air filter?
A buddy once told me since it is hobbie i should not go half *** with it. He said either go all out or dont do it beacause it is hobbie not a daily ridding vechicle. So any opinions on which one i should go with more.

I would say go for the exhaust and ect. first, then get the HRC kit. Either way, you'll need an exhaust system, the sreock one just holds the real potential of the machine back. That was the first thing I did was get an exhaust and jet kit. If you get a filter, don't buy a K&N. They allow to much dirt and things get past it. I know a handful of ppl that had them and returned them or took them out due to problems. Good luck with everything! Red

yea thats true red I just got one for xmas and returned it today stay with a foam filter or your valves will be harmed if you use a K&N since they are titanium valves and the slightest amount of dirt will ruin them...I would go with an exhuast for now along with a jet kit and airfilter(uni or twin) then if you want more power go with the hrc kit...I would recommend the following exhaust systems:sparks, dasa, rossier, hmf, lte.

The 2006 HRC kit has the cam and other small parts but also comes with a bigger head pipe and higher flowing end cap.
Huge improvement over stock.
I later added the DASA pipe and then the DASA intake adapter with K&N/outerwear.
It now puts out 50hp. Going from the stock foam filter to the DASA billet adapter, K&N and outerwear went from 49 to 50. This total combo just rocks.
You might look at a UNI filter in combination with a billet adapter if you feel your riding conditions demand the use of a foam filter. Never tried it on the dyno but think it would be close.
