Default Auxillary Lighting

I own a Sportsman 700 and a Ranger XP both of which I would like to add lights to. Does anyone know how much lighting you can add before your stock battery/charging system can't keep up while riding? Ultimately, I'd like to add a pair of Warn high power off road lights but don't think the battery/charging system can handle that. Does anyone have any information on how much power I can safely draw?

They will eaisly handle two 55 watts lights but not with your stock lights on also.

If you buy two quality 55 watt lights they will be all you need.

The 700 and 800's can put out 500 watts for the normal systems operationyou will take up abou 185 watts tailights and low beams on i also run lighted gps and 2 55watt 3" driving lights and there is still room left ....i have driven for 2 to 3 hrs at a time with no strain on system or any discharging to batt.

Alternator on the 2002 700 was advertised at 300 watts, don't know about the newer twins.
