Default I need a pic of 800 exh

I have an 800 header that I am going to put on the MV. The pipes mounts differently. My dealer has no 800's in stock to see the way an 800 mounts. I have a parts list of what is needed, I just want to see a pic of one installed. I only need the mounting connection in the pic! Thanks

I never got this pic from my old 800

It looks like you didn't mount the hanger to anything. Does the pipe line up to anything to mount it to? Did yours have a spring mount near the front?

Mine had no other place to mount it. I just bolted to the head then it just hooks to the muffler.

That seems odd, I thought the 700 and 800 would be the same, allowing the pipe to bolt up. I wonder what is different. Oh, I just thought of something, the years difference may plays a role, your quad is '03 and that pipe "fits" an '05-07! Guess it really doesn't matter if it bolts up or not. Thanks again.

Yeah the mounting is different. None of the 700's have the mount for the 800 header. You could fab something up to help hold it but you won't need it.

Instigator:
At the end of Feb 06 they changed to a two-piece header. The split is right after the "Y". There is a support mount that is already welded to the frame on mine. Looking at the Polaris site on the 07's that is for a rubber support and spring. I don't have the two-piece or I would send you the pic. I can take a picture of the mount that is on my frame if you like. I did get the improved heat shield that combines the front two shields as seen in my pics. It will work for the two-piece header as well.

I didn't know that th new ones had a 2-piece pipe. Mine is a one piece, my dealer had it in stock. It was ordered for a guy, but he never picked it up. The early pipes rubbed something, I think it was the engine, anyway this is a redesigned pipe to correct that problem. I think that I will not worry about the mounting. I am going to ensure a good fit, then if all is well, I am going to send it to Jet-Hot. I see yur is coated, who did it for you? Do you like the results? Does the mud clean off any easier from the pipe?
