'95 wolverine

Default '95 wolverine

hey new person here i recently got a 95 wolverine. this is my first 4 stroke quad. what would be the best things to do first as far as maintence wise. one major thing is a front drive shaft the previous owner has misplaced it. other than that it is a strong running atv. oh yeah and what kind of oil and diff fluid do i use thanks *****

Welcome, The engine oil you should use is 10W-40, and diff fluids anything Hypoid Gear oil GL-4 or GL-5 is fine. I would remove the air filter and clean it, make sure you install it properly and the lid is on stright, it's a bad design from the factory the lid holds the filter in place. I would check the spark plug and replace if dirty(they are cheap enough). Also the brakes like to wear quickly if not taken care of. After every ride I would wash off around the brakes, I have a set of SBS pads and they seem to last the longest. You made a good choice, it should last you a while.

Also, instead of getting a stock drive shaft, spend the$220 and get a Warn 424 unlocker. Then you can run in 4x4 mode when you want to.

Yes. Best mod for the Wolverine IMO.
