raptor durability???
#1
I was just wondering if anyone has had problems with the raptors durability?
I took mine out the third time that I rode it and bent my upper a-arm bad on a wheelie gone bad...
but I was going slow and it really should not have bent that bad. I am just courious if anyone else has had similar problem?
I have had many other quads and crashed really bad on some of them, and if anything usually I bent the handlebars and broke the plastics...what do you guys think?

Its hard to say what happened with your a-arm. I have two raptors in my family. My son will never wear out a set of front tires because he is always doing wheelies and jumping. As you know not everything happens the same when doing those stunts but my son's seems to be handling the action real well. I measured the alignment last weekend and conpared it with mine and they were both so close to being the same that I found it hard to believe myself. I do not ride even close as hard as he does. The rear axle is true as the day it was new and he is getting some pretty good air. All in all we are very happy so far with the raptors. We still have Hondas and they have been bullet proof so we are hoping for the same from the raptors. We ride woods, dunes, right of ways and some unorganized track as hard as we can with no problems to date. I have read post of bent axles and a-arms but I am hard pressed to think it is from normal riding. By normal I mean the way a high powered sport machine should be riddin and we all know that wheelies, jumps, whoops and track is part of the program. Since you have a bent one now are you going to go wider with after market arms?

We really like the graydon nerfs. We have had them on other 4 wheelers and they have never been replaced. Friends on 400ex's and other bike have other brands and they have broke them and the just look cheap compared to the Graydons. I order straight from Graydon and they do cost a little more than other branda but to me they are more than worth the cost. These cost $174.00 per set plus shipping. I have noticed that the majority of post that list having nerfs, they are Graydons. To me and many friends they are the best we know of.
