Default 07 Jetmoto 150 performance concerns

I have thought about the issue of the weight of the 150 and I have come to the conclusion that its probably no big deal. This afterall is not a racing quad, but a quad for kids, so stability and handling are far more important considerations than power to weight.
The 150 does look like an awesome quad!

From reading here it seems the 150 engine on the new frame was an after thought. I also fear it may not be in the best interest of Jetmoto unless steps to either reduce the weight or increase the HP. I guess we can speculate all we want but until they get here and are put to the test against an 06 we will not know how these are going to fair! I wish to buy a 07 150 also but will wait until some reviews come in!

We have a CoolSport 150 and the bikes look a lot a like (look at my pics) and it did great in the mud today... We 2 uped with me (6'1" 240lbs and Nicole 5'2" 100lbs) and it ran like a top in the mud (4X4 truck trails)... I was vary happy with what it did... I do have a few things I wasn't happy with, I high centered a few time but again it was a 4X4 truck trail... and at high RPMs I wasn't happy with the vibration of the motor but it has solid mounts... If the JetMoto 150 is the same bike as my CoolSport 150 I think you will be happy with it...

Cool! Thanks for sharing the pic's with us! They claim to all be made by different manufacturers but they look so much alike, not to sure how that happens again and again with all the Chinese brands and there are many that make the 150's. There are little differences so perhaps it's like Chev and GMC!
So with the two of you on it so 340lbs you were pleased with the performance! I have read they do a good job climbing!

This sounds to me like you were overweighted for this atv.I would be carefull as this is a lot of weight for this size.

Drifter,
In general how has the coolsport worked out. Has it been reliable? Did you order it from Lightning ATV, and if so how were they in terms of doing business?
Actuall they dont list the specs for this 150, but the 250. The 250 at least looks real nice. The work on the swingarm, etc looks clean.

Quadster1, I think your making way too much out of the 150's weight. The 150 isnt supposed to be a rocket fast quad. Its for beginners to learn on, thats why its a automatic. The reason for putting the 150 engine in the sport chassis was to get the best handling quad to the public. And to keep the price down, If they made a 150 only chassis the price would go up substantially.
