hey,

got myself a 1985 triz 250 today and need to replace muffler. it has a dg header pipe and some aftermarket race muffler but the muffler needs to be replaced what mufflers have great performance, are not loud and reasonable to cheaply priced? any and all advice is appreciated

 

good luck finding any kind of exhaust for it

 

the only thing i did find was a silencer from dg the part number is - 20-4211

Is the expansion chamber alright? You just need the silencer?

 

I bought an Answer silencer for my Tri-Z a couple of years ago. Id go with them instead of DG if you can find one.

 

how do i tell if the expansion chamber is good? if your talkin about the pipe from the motor, it is aftermarket dg but thats al i know

do you have a part number for the answer pipe?

No, I dont have the part # for the Answer, I dont even know if you can buy them anymore. Ill do some research and see if I can come up with anything.
I like the way the Answer sounded better than the DG, but you might have to take what you can get. Theres a factory one on Ebay right now starting at $5.
