my friend has a 450r thats got cams, jetted, filter and exhaust and my raptor would take him stock by like 1/4 of a bike length..... he was geared down 2 teeth in the front and down a few in the back.... it was set up for gncc racing so thats the only reason i woudl win. id say cams and hi com should do it. mights well stroke it if u dont mind spendin the money

I dont really want to bust anyones bubbles here, but as a previous owner of a 660 that was not stock, i know for a darn fact that a 450r with those kinds of mods will eat away a 660 in the 300-600 feet, regardless of the sprocket size. My yfz as it is woul whoop my old 660 into the ground hands down on asphault or dirt. The only thing my raptor had on the yfz was top speed. 95 mph clocked by so many thign im not even gonna mention them all. The thing was, you had to almost hit the rev limiter in 4th and then hurry and slam it into 5th so it would pull 5th gear out just that little bit more. The yfz is almost bouncing off its 11,500 rev limiter in 5th gear. And stock to stock, the 450r eats the raptor up too. The raptor would need a full exhaust, pro design intake or airbox eliminator kit, and probably a 686 kit to be able to beat a yfz or trx. On asphault you could keep stock bore but high comp piston and hotcam stage 2. The raptor does not shine on the dirt.

Somethings F'd up if you can't take a stock YFZ with bolt on power (Pipe and air filter) ON A DRAG strip. when you start modding the engines, its basically down to who mods it more. Stock to Stock neither bike "whoops" the other. So either you can't ride the raptor or you had a crappy rappy. Fully modded vs. Fully modded, it's simple the raptor has more displacement... It's like running a 50 cc engine vs. a 100cc engine... The raptor has way more displacement than can be had on YFZ. Remember, this is all valid info for a DRAG STRIP ONLY, including hillshooting. TRX? what a joke...

we were on pavement and i would win top end. trust me i dont think a stock raptor is anywhere close to his bike even if it was stock. i just loved jokein with him bein like o your 450r with all those mods gets beat by my stock raptor. if we raced in the dirt hed woop me. when wed be in the trails and wed be both be rippin it threw the woods i could still hear him, could barly see him thats how bad he would pull on me. when i said the cams and high comp i assumed full exhaust, jets, filter were also included

No, it doesnt matter about displacement at all you idiot. The raptor has a sohc with a longer stroke than your d!ck. The power does not get to the groud nearly as fast as the 450's put it out. On dirt it doesnt matter if the raptor is piped filtered and jetted perfectly, the 450 is going to eat it up right from factory. The pavement is the only place the raptor shines with bolt on mods. Stock to stock the raptor beats the z400 on the road by not very much. The 450's destroy the 660 through and through. Obviously someone is biased to their 660, i owned a 660, and it ran spot on. If it did not run spot on, it would not have pulled to 95 mph. You just cant compare the 660 to the 450's, the 450s will be in 4th gear by the time the rator gets topped out in second.
