what mods to a raptor are needed to take 450

We all have our stories but we dont brag be modest. U dont think i can brag. My very first race at my local track i show up with a stock yfz. All i have is RAZR tires i dont have boots, chest protector, or nerf bars, no pipe, nothing just my skills since i have been ridding since i was nine(im 19). Now there were 40 quads so they split us up into two classes. In my first race i placed third. So i went to the winners bracket race and i placed fourth. Agian on a bone stock quad. It was only the second time i had ever been to that track. The last time i was at that track to practice was about three months earlier. And i go out there with a stock quad and no practice, racing all thease ten to fifteen thousand dollor quads and i wooped some but. My point is i could use that and go talk smack to everyone else saying i placed fourth overall in a forty quad quad class and saying you cant beat me and if you do its cause u got a better quad. bla bla bla. Just stop starting arguments. some raptor 600 will beat some YFZs and most YFZs will beat raptor 660. Plus a lot of it has to do with the rider.

well this is how i see it. the 450's are no doubt good bikes and fast. but if you run the same mods on a raptor and 450 its going to come down to the rider. going uphill or down hill pavement it doesnt matter. if a 450 has the same mods as me (02 raptor 660) it seems to be dead even almost every time. it seems to me that the raptor will shine on the long uphill drags or just being over all more comfortable.

its all about rider skill, power to weight ratio, and set up(gearing and tires). i had an 04 660 and a buddy of mine had an 04 450. piped and jetted on the pavement 300ft i had him by a bike and a half. he put in a 13.8:1 piston and stage1 cam, ported head and i went 11.5:1 and stage 1. rolling start we were dead even then he topped out 5th and i shifted 5th. there are many different variables to look at. rider weight and skill are a big one. i had out run 450's with pipes with my raptor bone stock, but whos to say the rider was a good rider. this is always gonna be a never ending conversation.
