Raptor Or YFZ 450 Suspension On A Warrior
#1
Aybody out there know how to upgrade the suspension on a Warrior/Raptor 350 using Raptor 660 or YFZ components and what would be involved? I have Works shocks on the front, +2 A-arms, and a +4 Durablue axle, but Im still not happy with mine. Any ideas? (besides buying a new bike)

First, raptor or yfz shocks are going to be too long. They may fit without stressing the ball joints too bad since you have aftermarket arms, but they're still not going to work right. They're designed for different suspension geometry, and yfz shocks ride like crap even on the yfz. If you're unhappy with your works shocks, for whatever reason, upgrade to a better aftermarket shock like Pep, Ohlins, or Elka. What is it you don't like about the works anyways? You know you can get them revalved and re-sprung?

Well, they were "supposed" to have been. Not that it means a whole lot, but I bought the A-arms and the shocks at the same time from the same place, and I told the salesman exactly what I was putting ALL of this stuff on and my body weight, because he asked this info so "they could setup the shocks for me", but who knows what they did. What do you suggest I do?

I'd try to get the works shocks to perform to your likings. I don't have any complaints about mine. First try tightening up the spring preload, and if that doesn't work, send it back to works and get them to set them up different.

Sounds like he gave you the runaround, I love my works shocks, check out the works web page or call them, they will be able to clear anything up. Sometimes when you buy from an outside dealer they give you what they had laying around and tell you what you want to hear to make the sale. But IMO their very good shocks so give works a call and straiten things out.

i have stock a arms..
you have +2 a arms.. depending on the a arm.. they'll most likely be too short and prolly be too soft due to the angle
