Does anyone know what is covered on the Aftermarket Extended Warranty for the 05 TRX 450r? I just found out the person I purchased it from bought the extended warranty. I am looking to get service done because of my kick starter locking up. I don't have any paperwork though. Will a Honda dealer honor the warranty?

 

Is the extended warranty thru Honda or an aftermarket company? If its thru Honda, you shouldn't need any paper work, any Honda dealer will be able to put your VIN into the computer to check your warranty status and be able to help w/ anything warranty or non-warranty. If it an aftermarket warranty, good luck. We have dealt w/ a couple of aftermarket companies and they are a pain in the @$$. They don't want to cover anything and are not worth the money. We won't sell anything except Honda extended warrranty because of the problems we have had in the past. If you do have the Honda warranty, I can't think of anything at this time that would prevent the kickstarter from being covered.

 

Thank you. I found the work is going to be covered. All I know if that Honda was able to pull up the warranty information from the vin. I do think it is an after market warranty.

 

just make sure you get it. just had a friend when we were riding last week fry his engine b/c of oil change by a non honda dealership honda dealer told him that if he would have had a warrenty they may have been able to help him but his warrenty that comes with it ranout last month
