does anyone know how to get a honda recon es to idel i cant get my daughters atv to idel at all

 

It is frequently necessary to turn the idle up a little when the weather turns cold. There is an idle screw on the side of the carburator, and your owner's manual will point out where it is. Turn it in a little.

 

Either that, or the pilot jet is plugged. Does it idle ok with the choke on? but then dies when the choke is moved off?

 

also check the air cleaner and turn up the idle a bit mine did the same thing i'ts all good now

 

wont idel on choke or off choke i can drive it and it runs good untill you let off gas

 

If turning up the idle speed doent help, and the mixure screw adjustment isnt all the way in, id say the pilot jet is plugged solid. The float bowl will need to come off, and the jet removed and either the obstruction needs to be cleaned out and if its in there too solidly, just replace the jet.

 

If none of this works bring it in to a dealor(last option).
