My buddy has a 05 450r and in the Hrc kit it comes with a jumper wire to increase the rev rimit. He was wondering what wires to jump without buying the kit. Or he would buy a jumper if they sell it....anyone have an idea?? Any help appreciated!

 

I don't think the 04 or 05 450R HRC kit had the rev box booster. I believe that is on the 06 and 07 only.

My 2006 has the "jumper" (CDI sub harness) of course, but I believe that was new to the kit in 06.
You should be able to go to Honda and have them look up the parts list for the 2005 HRC Kit.
Also he could buy an aftermarket CDI and do the same thing as the jumper.

 

he was tryin to get away from buyin an aftermarket cdi...

 

I borrowed a friends after market cdi and I didn't like the performance it gave my 450R.
I think it runs much better with the stock cdi.
