I have a 2001 honda rubicon that will not start, it was running shut it off and then it would not start, Pulled the plug and there is no spark what should i start to look for?

 

Have you had it long? Is the kill switch off on the left handlebar?

 

No the kill switch is not off I even tested the wires and the switch to see if its bad it checked out good

 

mines a different model but same thing it was cdi box

 

are you talking about the coil if not where is the cdi box located?

 

Ther isn't a cdi box on a rubicon. It does have an ECM that controls everything form spark, shifting, fan motor, meter, etc. It is located on top of the storage box on pre-'05 models and in front of the steering stem on '05-up models.

If you have no spark, first try and replace the spark plug. Even plugs that look ok can be bad, I have seen it before. If that is not it, you will need to get a manual and a peak voltage meter (not a regular volt meter) to diagnose an no spark condition.
