Default Softer shocks/springs for Kodiak 450???

I am looking for softer rear shocks and springs for the Kodiak (actually a 2007 Grizzly 450). Does anyone know where I can find some. I talked to my dealer and he said that Yamaha does not make them. I talked to Works Performance and they do not have the specs for this model but can make some custom shocks but I would need to send them the geometry specifications of the suspension. I would prefer finding some that have already been tested.

I use it for trail riding and never come close to the 180 weight limit on the rear rack. So the suspension has a lot travel that I never use.

If someone could help out, it would be greatly appreciated!

You must be nutz! The Kodiak 450/Grizzly 450 have a adjustment to turn below the spring. That is all you need.

Well, truth-be-known, I am paralyzed from the waist down so I can't stand up and ride through the rough spots. And where I only weigh 140 lbs and the bike is designed for up to a 250 lb rider with up to 180 lbs on back, there is no way that I can utilize the potential of the suspension. I rarely carry anything on the back. I use it for trail riding and want it to be as smooth as possible (so I can go fast) but the way it is now, it nearly bounces me off the machine whenever I encounter a rough spot. I could put two bags of cement on the back to get the ride better, but that also increases the center-of-gravity and makes cornering dangerous.

So that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
