Default blaster headlight

My boys blaster head light keeps burning out. It has been lasting about 3 hours max run time before it burns out. What in the heck is going on? Could it be that I am getting oils off my hands onto the glass causing it to burn out. Need help.

Sounds like you hit the nail on the head. Wear latex gloves or some sort of rubber glove. Do a meter check on the ilght socket while you have the bulb out just to make sure.

also make sure theres no water inside there. if so i'd either drill a small hole at the bottom of the lense so the water can drain or replace it.

well now I am p$#@ed off. I replaced the headlight and did not touch any part of it with my bare hand. I used a clean rag to hold the bulb. It lasted 15 minutes and it burnt out and the tail light also burnt out. There is something else going on.

Sounds like the previous owner might have done a fuse bypass if your not the original. Check your stator output too. Are you sure your buying the correct bulbs?
