Default Wolverine clutch spring kit and torque stuffer worth it..??

I haven't posted on this site in a while, but have been on here quite a bit. I'm trying to find anyone who has done the EPI clutch spring kit and the torque stuffer. I've been searching and can't seem to find any threads where someone reviewed the upgraded springs as to if it helped on the bottom end at all. I've read it has helped the 450 wolvies, but couldn't find anything on the 350's.

Do any of you have either of these, if so can you tell any difference in accelleration from a stop, in mud, climbing hills, etc.?

I've read that some people say the torque stuffer helps, and others that say it's just a marketing gimmick also. I realize it's pretty cheap, so I don't have much to lose, but just wanted to see if I could get some feedback please.

I'm going to Turkey Bay at Land Between the Lakes this spring with a bunch of bigger bikes and want to do whatever I can, short of a big bore kit, by then to help represent the wolvy proudly . You can see in my sig, I have a few things done already. Thanks in advance.

The torque stuffers are definitely just a waste of money. If anything, they just give you overheating issues.

The 2004 wolverines are auto clutch, but not an auto transmission like the 450 wolvy. I don't see a reason to mess with the clutch at all unless yours is slipping. After 5 years of beating the crap out of my recon the auto clutch finally started slipping, so I replaced it with a $30 kevlar clutch and some heavier springs, just because that route was cheaper than oem parts, but with better performance. I say let the clutch go unless you start having problems with it.

Thanks for replying recon.....I was only referring to upgrading the springs to stiffer ones to raise the stall rpm. I don't have any intentions of messing with the clutch itself. I basically am just curious if the extra couple hundred r's you get from stiffer springs actually makes a noticeable difference in low gear when in mud or what not.

Anyone have these???

I agree with the torque stuffer being a load of $#!t, why get free flowing air intakes and exhaust systems to just jam something in there to restrict flow. Retarded. I did install a set of clutch springs, EPI I believe, and the engagement is noticeable, a few more rpm and it seems to grab harder/ lunge ahead. I've only been pushing snow lately, so for more power in the mud, I dont know yet, but I sure am hoping, cuz the wolvie 350 definitely needs some more bottom end torque.

Glad to hear that there is a difference with the springs. I did buy them, just haven't installed them yet. I think you guys talked me into not buying the torque stuffer, thanks for saving me the $35. I was always sort of hesitant about it, but they have been selling them for a few years now so I thought there might be something to them.

Now if I could just find some floorboards I like.....

I think I saw some on the Moose M.U.D. site, looked pretty beefy. I've also seen some nerf bar type units on Ebay. All I really want now is a set of O.E.M. overfenders, the stock base fenders lick pole when the mudlite XTRs start chewin' 'skeg!
