11 or 12 tooth sprocket
#1
I want to drop down on the front sprocket,it seems to lug a little.
I ordered an 11 tooth from a local dealer, but the place they ordered from sent a 12 tooth. They said that they didnt carry an 11 tooth.
How much difference would there be between the 11 ansd 12 compared to the stock 14 tooth?
Would the 11 be to much drop?
The 12 is only $12,and the 11 would be about $20-$25?
Its goin on a RedCat VX110.

I don't know anything specific about your particular machine, but my experience has been that a drop of 1 tooth in front makes a very noticeable difference. (Changing one tooth in front is like three teeth in back.) Going from 14 to 11 would be very very estreme! I would start with a 13..........
I once put larger tires on my 400EX, so I wanted to gear down a little. I went down one tooth in front, and every time I would punch the throtle, the front end would reach for the sky. It just wasn't safe, because it would wheelie when I wasn't wanting it to.

Well,I bought the 12 tooth, but when I got home home and started to put it on,it didnt fit the links to good.
I wrapped the chain around it and only about 3or 4 links fit pretty good, the rest started riding up.I guess its the wrong pitch.
I called them back,he said to bring it and let him look at it along with the chain to see it its wrong. On the sale slip it says "no returns or exchanges",but he saidhe would do something to make it right.
He sells that brand,I bought it from him,I told him what I had and he ordered the wrong thing, his fault,so he should do the right thing and order the correct one.
