I own a 250X and want something with a little more power.Would anyone recomend a warrior over hop-ups for my quad.

 

I haven't ridden either but since the 300ex is the same basic machine as the 250x i'd have to say that the 250 is actually faster than the warrior. A friend of mine has a warrior and he said that a stock 300ex beat him in a race, so that would mean that you are close to the same as a warrior. Besides that there are a ton of aftermarket parts/upgrades for the 250x/300ex so i would keep it.
Besides that warriors are heavy and dont handle well...or so i've heard.

No contest. The 250ex doesn't have the motor to beat a Warrior.

the 250x is 246 i think

 

the 250X is way difernet that a 250ex cheif.

for the question id work the 250X up there's alot of mods for the 250X/300ex out there it would be a vetter lighter and faster quad

 

Go with the Warrior, I have a 87 250x and a Warrior and the 250x suck.

 

I have to agree with quadmanqc,I use'd to own
a 250x and one of my friends would always beat
me pretty easy when we dragged. I believe the
250x is a better handling quad than the warrior,
because of it's weight.

I had a 91' 250X and really liked it. I had a cheap DG pipe and K&N air filter on it also. Most of my friends have warriors and when we rode together I could be in front in 5th but when they hit 6th they would pass me but I still could keep right behind them with no promblem. The 250X I think handles way better than a warrior. I would keep the 250X and had some mods to it, your call though.
