hey guys wats up i was wondering what was better the elec start or kick start??? Are they exactly the same. I heard more ppl hav the kick is tht true?

 

electric start is 6lb heavier. Most people do have kick because electric has only been out for 2 years. I am buying a 450r with electric start next week.

 

Id get the kick man, I've heard lots of problems with the electric start. Plus, if it doesnt have a backup of some sort, YOU ARE GONNA HATE IT! 250ex's dont have any backup starter, so when my battery went dead, my whole ride is dead...

 

buy a kick start, why you might ask. Because, it's cooler....duh

 

I have the kicker, and would never want an electric. Starts first kick every time, cold or hot. You do have to know the drill or you will have problems, but my buddies with electric have to know the drill for starting theirs too!

 

I have a kicker and I love it, it revs faster and is lighter... I would recommend getting a good pair of boots, when the compression builds up and the kick started comes flying back up at your chins you will be glad you had boots on...

 

I own both kick(05) and electric(06)trx 450r, The kick has never fialed me and you can always get it going no matter how bad it crashes, but the electric has given me problems when its cold or too hot, i would take the kick any day!

KICK START ALL THE WAY!!!!!!

 

I HAVE AN ELECTRIC START AND IT SUCKS. I RECENTLY CHANGED OVER TO A KICK. IT HAS A ONE WAY CLUTCH IN TE MOTOR AND IF U GIVE IT ANY GAS WHILE TRYING TO START U BURN IT UP..PLUS THE STOCK BATT. ARE JUNK AND THEY DIE QUICKLY. A REPLACEMENT IS LIKE $95.

i have an 06 that i installed both kick and electric start. That way if you stall going up a hill you just electric start it
