Default New DS650 Owner

Hi There,

Just bought me new DS 650, love it and sure lot diffrent from my Trailblazer.

Is there any way that some can tell me if I get this thing to sound a bit better without
changing the exhause or spending any $$.

I will do that later but for now is there any mods that I can do withou damanging the engine.

Thanks

mrhp makes an endcap that cost about 70 bucks that you can swap out. cool thing is too, it makes some of the best horsepower among the aftermarket exhausts, too

How good are your fab skills.... you could cut out the center section of the stock end cap.... it does the same thing as the Mr HP end cap... you will need to rejet though.

Check my pics...I've got a modified endcap that cost me $20 at a local muff shop. It ain't very blingy but it does what you want.

Yes, take the end cap off, and cut the screen out, and open the two exhaust ports out. That will do you wonders, and cost nothing. Can be done with a standard metal saw blade...

CHeck my pix. Mine has been dyno tested for about 4 additional hp, it sounds a lot better, and just a little louder. It makes the stock exhaust into a reverse cone megaphone and contains a swirl type spark arrestor.

As soon as you do anything to the exhaust on a DS, you start hitting the rev limiter. SO you will need to change that. Check your plug, it will tell you if you need to rejet...
