New Atv Questions??
I plan on buying a new sport quad this summer. Ive narrowed my choices down to either a Banshee or Yfz 450 or Honda 450r. I was just wondering which of these quads will last the longest and is the easiest to take care of. I dont want to have to do 2 hours of work on the quad before i go out and ride is pretty much what im getting at. I will be doing all sorts of riding no particular type the whole time so that isnt much of a factor. I'm 6'2 194 lbs so any info you could give me or even your opinions will help alot
Thank you

New Atv Questions??
All the high strung 450's are going to do best with synthetic oils and frequent oil changes. These machines rev, and are just going to be naturally harder on their oils. More frequent valve adjustments are a good idea too.
As for the Shee, all you are going to have to do is change the trans oil, but you will also have to add oil to your gas so that counts for some anoyance too!
I know I have said this elsewhere, but again, the Shee's frame and suspension are not just one, but TWO generations obsolete! Get a modern 4-stroke, and discover what a descent ride is all about!

New Atv Questions??
you never said where your going to be riding....dunes?trails?track?
450s are pretty high maintance..i wouldnt get a new banshee
if your going to be riding open fields and dunes id say get one of the 450s...if your going to be doing some tight trails or a combination of everything then i'd get a z400.

New Atv Questions??
if you're doing all kinds of riding then scratch the two stroke!! they suck whey you ride in the hills and stuff and you need to crawl over rocks or logs!! either 450 will handle better too!! i've been on all three and the 450's are just better. my personal opinion, i liked the honda but you'd have to ride them and see what you like!! i'm a 250 R guy though so i'm not into being the first in a race, i just like a fun bike that holds it's own. the only bikes in my opinion that handle better than my 250 R are the new 450's. i'd go 4 stroke if you plan to do all kinds of riding too!! i only ride mine at the dunes and for that you'd be ok with a banshee.. well or a 250 R ha ha!! the 450 is faster than the banshee, handles better than the banshee, and you will be happy with it right off the showroom floor!!! oh and by the way.. i ride an LT 250 R and i beat z400 and 400 ex's!! i can actually hang with quite a few banshee's and beat some, but can't touch the 450's!! the best all around bike though in my opinion is going to be the z400 but not if you want first place!!

New Atv Questions??
my vote 06 - 07 Yamaha Raptor 700r . EFI, low 9:1 compresson, rocker arm design (no shims!!!) , great stocker swing arm, 07 SE editions have high/low adj shocks which are very nice, with mods 60+rwhp very easy to obtain. Great woods machine, can be made into a MX machine. 100% better machine than the old 660.
