my blaster is a rocket compared to a stock one. and im trying to find a bike for my freind but i dont want to get him a bike much faster than mine due to the fact that he cant really ride mine all that good yet. hes going to get it new, but he wants somthing that is fast but not to fast because he is only 124lbs. what would be the outcome of a race bettween a blaster and a 300ex, if they were both stock. any help would be greatly appreciated..........

I have owned both. The EX is an absolutely dead solid machine, and will be running strong long after a Blaster has had multiple rebuilds! As far as fun factor goes though, I give the edge to the Blaster.

No matter what he gets, the stock tires are lame on both machines. I highly recommend replacing the stock tires right off with the new ITP TracStar radials!
