the quest for speed

I am curantly building a DS/Hyabusa GSXR 1300 it is the fastest production streetbike motor in the world I was just thinking that it is funny that I am building this bike but when I take it out I will probably get smoked by someone that has a Busa build or another bullet bike motor with a turbo and or nitrouse just wondering at what point do you stop or is it possible to stop I know that the first time I get beat I will be looking into the turbo setup just thought it was funny.

I have heard that they are a very powerfull motor but do not do well with hop ups becouse the head gasket surfaces between the cylinders is so small it can't take any oversize boring or nos and turbo is questionable.

As long as you have the busa engine out you might as well go ahead and do the big bore/stroker kit to bump it up a little.
Then get ready to start on your turbo kit. It looks like a lot of you DS guys do the conversions and it sounds like you guys have some majorly fast bikes.
I wish I lived anywhere close to somewhere to ride something like that

I think I am going to have to get used to running the stock 162.8 Hp before I bump it up. My DS motor was running 80Hp and it was pretty fast.

"Hyabusa GSXR 1300 it is the fastest production streetbike motor in the world" I know the Hayabusa can handle huge HP numbers, I just had to be ornery and point out that the ZX-14 is supposed to hold the title.

I can get anyone who wants one , a brand new ZX14 complete car kit with everything you need, if you want one. of course they havent been around long and may have longevity issues. they do have almost NO space between the cylinders and everyone who has torn one down cant believe the headgasket will seal and the cylinder block and top case are one piece so to get to a piston you have to split the cases. yes, they do advertise them at 205hp I think ? but be sure thats tiny little exagerated japanese horse power and its at the crank , NOT at the rear wheel. a more realistic hp number will most likely end up being in the 175 to 180 range. that being said, a guy on a properly set up busa powered bike could easily win if his bike is geared a little better or even tires could win the race not to mention if the busa rider knows what hes doing as a rider and the other guy is slightly marginal the busa rider has the advantage .

SST how does a stock busa motor do against your average Alchohol banshee. I know that is a hard one becouse some of them are so wicked fast but I know you have had a few stock busa motors in a bomber and I am sure as soon as you pull it out that they are going to come out of the wood work to race you. just want to know if it will hang with some of them becouse of the weight and all.
Thanks Travis.

All these conversions are only good for the long haul they are not sprinters they do shine on long hills but lack on short hills if you want to play with the fast bikes on the hills at glamis you better do the turbo's.
