I am brining out the 730 and doing all the maintenance on it soon and it really needs an oil change. I dont have any left over and dont remember exactly what I was running (cant get ahold of eric/randall right now so cant ask them at the moment).

I am pretty sure it was amsoil brand but I dont remember which type of oil or what weight it was.... Does anyone know? I have ordered it from eric the few times in the past i have purchased it but dont know what to do now? I know i checked rocky mountiain last year and they carry amsoil but not the stuff I had been running (just like a generic 4 stroke oil i believe).

any help is appreciated!

 

Roost - I can already tell you that they will recommend Klotz techniplate synthetic. I don't know where the best place to buy it is but that is what I run. I have a local shop that gets it for me. About $12 per quart but worth it in clutch life....imo

I agree with Bigdaddy - Rocky Mountain is the best place to buy Klotz, that where I always buy mine from. I even contacted Klotz directly last year and Rocky Mountain was still cheaper.

What wegiht are most of your runing for spring/summer? We will be going to LS- utah the first of june so im sure it will be plenty warm with lots of hard riding.

 

I have been using 10W40 since I installed my 730 last year. I ride in the winter down to about -15C and up +30C in the summer.
