Default CDI?

Is it possible that a bad cdi could cause spark plugs to foul?

You need to give us some more info, How is it running? Usually fouled plugs indicate a rich condition. Is this a stock bike, piped?

It it a 2002 tvi 720 with mrhp 44,hmf ,no toil filter w/no air box, ported intake, and big gun cdi.I have been in contact with mrhp but they are so bussy they havnt got back to me.I have tried numerous needle settings and always same result ,extreamly black plugs. The odd thing is the bike runs extreamly fast untill the plugs give out.Im also runing 93 octane and 8's for a plug.

I told him before that because he had mentioned that his plugs were black that he should first contact someone to get the jetting down on the carb because I am not familiar with how it is set up and tol him that if he gets that down and is still fouling the plugs it could be possible that his aftermarket cdi is the culprit for allowing too much current to the plugs and fouling them out.
