Hi all my first time here..hope someone can help somehow....I am new to atv's, bought it 2 weeks ago brought it in garage and started working on it...cleaning..gettin rid of rust..change bulbs...ect....i removed the seat..i could smell gas...i removed the filter housing...I noticed a loose fuel line..it comes from underneath the carburator...halfway there is a....sorta looks like a filter size of a nickel..then a fuel line that goes from there to .... i have no clue..I asked the previous owner..and he's as dumb as I am on the issue..I had bought new fuel lines to replace in case they were old..since its a 1995..I have the hayne's repair and maintenance manual for it but it doesn't show any fuel line configurations..

all help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance,

My first guess is the fuel was left on and the bowls flooded. Both my sportsman and scrambler with leak if the fuel is left on. As far as the line, my first guess is it's just a vent from the carb, but I will check mine and reply back.

If it's below the carb coming from the carb and really small that is a vent. The nickel sized thing is a check valve. Doc
