Default Phoenix performance

Looking at buying a 2005 Polaris Phoenix for $1600, good price?

We used to have quads and now we are looking to getting them again. I had '02 Scrambler 500 4x4 and the wife had an old Polaris Cyclone 250. We each really liked our own.

How does the Phoenix do? Looking to start with that, which means I will be riding it for a couple months before I can buy something bigger for myself, and then it will be for the wife.

I know it won't compare to the Scrambler at all, but does it have enough guts to get me around for a couple months? I think it will be fine for my wife as she just likes to go not-so-fast on the easier trails.

Any input would be appreciated....

I think it's a fair price, but it really is not a performer. I'm not saying you can't have any fun on it, but you won't be thrilled. We like ours for what we bought it for, my 13 year old daughter who does not care to go fast in any way. I would bet you could find a Trailblazer 250 in the same price range that would fit your bill better.

We just bought A 2007 200 Phoenix, Only had it out the one time. Bought it for the wife, she don't ride hard just trail rides. I was impressed with the amount of power it has for A 200. Also took it into the dunes just to see how it would do. Once again impressed, My 300lb, son-in-law was riding it in soft sand and it pulled him with no problem.
