Default 2000 artic cat 500 4x4

i found one on the net for $ 175 but the motor is seized and the rear needs some work can i get a opinon from some of you to see if it is worth the trouble to fix maybe even a round about price you might think it would cost to fix thanks

I don't see where you would get hurt at $175.00, if you decide not to fix it you could always part it out. There is a guy on here that is looking for a frame. I certainly would asses what it would cost me to get it trail ready and make a decision from there.

I guess it would all depend on how extensive the repairs are going to be and go from there. If you can do most of the work yourself or have a dealer do it.

I guess when it is all set to your liking then you have to decide if bringing it up to your specifications will be worth spending the money.

I certainly would not invest, say $3000, to repair it. Unless things that you are repairing you may have replaced anyway, such as putting on bigger tires etc.

I would check around for a resourse for good used parts also. You know parts that people have replaced because they wanted something different and not because they were worn out or damaged.....
