Well the story never ends.........The dealer wants my old (not working)Sure Power Industries ECM/Rectifier Black Box back for me to get the new one under warranty.
My only guess here is that he needs the S/N off the unit to get HIS money back....Correct!!!.....So now I need to pack this old one up send it to him and pay shipping for it...Then send/pay money to him for shipping on the new one to me!!! .....(I getting the 2006 450 SP shop manual also)....

O'Well I getting it covered so I should just shut up I guess.........Right.......Caper.........What do you guys think??

 

hey brother, shipping both ways is still cheaper then A- driving the 2 hrs you talked about, and B- its pretty cheap compared to buying th emc for 130.00 right. yes polaris wants the old ones back to study i guess. everytime i had any work down they take pics and send parts back.

 

Of course they want the old one. If they didnt,they would never know if it was really bad or if you scammed them for a spare.

No big deal about the shipping.......I just thought it was a little odd that he wanted it back ....Like he didn't trust me or thinks I just want a spare one to have sitting around!!!!!
As for the free part......YES.....Shipping is not the problem!!!!!

As for Polaris wanting it back to see what is wrong!!!!!Just look at the label...MADE IN CHINA...
There now throw it in the garbage..........no need to tear into it........LOL..LOL...Caper.....

I had to get new rack extenders for mine. They were rusting and paint peeling off but if I had been able to keep them they were getting sandblasted and repainted LOL That's one reason why they go back. But I know at Ford, if Ford doesn't want the stuff back it just gets thrown out. So I'll be keeping a close eye on the dumpster at the dealer LOL
