2004 400ex

Default 2004 400ex

I have an 04 400ex the battery was pretty dead so i boosted it and it started but wouldnt stay running so i put it on a battery charger and this morning went to start and it crank a few times then nothing no clicking or anything and the push button is a little sticky then the nuetral light doestneven come on with a booster on it? is this a case of the battery is just so dead or is it an electrical problem any help would be great btw this is a great site and have been lurking for a while

Check the fuse.

Forgot to mention i did check the fuse it is a 15 amp should it have a bigger one? could it be the starter?

I'm pretty sure you just blew the fuse. What was the booster set at?

if the fuse was blown would the headlight still work? i pulled it and looked at it and the wire wasnt broke should i put a higher amp in it? i forget what the booster was set at

Does the headlight still work? And I'm not sure but I don't think it would.

check to see if your ground wire is still attached mine did the same thing. Easy to overlook the little things.
