Going back to dealer in 2 hours to consider final deal on 400ex. HOW can I verify the 10 hours of use they claim????????

The dealer took a trade of a 2000 400ex (for Raptor) and they are selling it for $4500 plus tax. They claim only 10 hours of use. How can I verify that this is true and that this quad wasn't beat on real bad??
Thanks Jeff

look at the underbelly and take it for a test ride.Check for obvious signs like banged up rims, banged up underside, etc. There is no way to tell that it has the supposed 10 hours on it that the dealer claims.Hours are estimated without an hour meter installed.Get some type of warranty not just the tail light warranty.Good luck

You will never know for certain, and you will always have doubt when you hear a unusual noise coming from your machine. Many things can happen within a ten hour break in period that will effect the life of Atv. Personaly, id never buy one used. Right out of the crate for me, that way i know forsure whats what. Save yourself some sleep and go for the new one with zero hours on it.

First of all dont pay the tax..You can be "farm exempt". Im not sure if its only on brand new atvs or if it goes for used also. You dont have to prove that you own a farm or anything, the dealer just takes off the tax and writes it up however they have to. Do Not pay Tax. Just tell them "and by the way Im farm exempt"
